Whenever some keywords are entered in the Giant Google Search, the approximate CPC bid required for any ad to figure on the first page of the search result is called the First Page Bid Estimate. The First Page Bid depends upon the exact match description of the keyword that has been entered in Google. The First Page Bids give a rough requirement of the CPC needed for any ad to figure on the first page of the search results of Google. It must be noted that these estimates are also made on the basis of Quality Score of a keyword, along with the keyword level, and at the same time, it is in no way assurance of placement.
If a user clicks on your ad then CPC Bid is the amount you are ready to pay, and the same depends on various factors like the Quality Score of the ad, level of competition, etc.
When the Quality Score is high, it means that what you need to pay is less than the maximum CPC Bid. To make things more clear, let’s look at an example.
Suppose for the same keyword, there are two competitive advertisers- Company A and Company B. Also, their highest CPC values to become a top ad is different, say $5 and $6 respectively. The search is started by user and Google decides the consequences of ads by the advertisers. So now Google has to decide as to which one of the two companies should come first and the payment for the same.
Initially, the ad Quality Score is multiplied with the maximum CPC bid of the company and the result of this calculation is known as the Ad Rank Value. The company whose advertisement is more relevant will be selected for appearing first on the search page.
After the decision over the first page results has been made, Google will the amount each company will be required to pay. Now to determine a cost of better-ranked advertisement, the previously determined Ad Rank Value of Company B will be divided by the Quality Score of Company A and then an addition of £0.01 will be made to the result. So Company B will be paying the least cost for that auction. The process makes it clear that the first page bid estimates is made taking into account the Quality Scores of keywords as well as the current historical data.
